Hacettepe University Energy Markets Research and Application Center (founded in 2010) deals with research, practice, training and consultancy on dynamics of energy markets, financing of energy projects, energy commodities, energy efficiency and renewable energy both in domestic and international markets. The center consists of academics from different research groups as finance, operational research, production management and public finance. Our main areas of activity are organizing scientific meetings at energy sector, publishing academic papers/books on energy markets and involving in projects related to the energy sector in cooperation with regional and local organizations. Our members have actively participated in the foundation of Center for Energy and Value Issues (CEVI), Amsterdam, Netherlands and we have an ongoing partnership with CEVI in organizing conferences and publishing books. We organize a conference every two years as Multinational Energy and Value Conference (8th will be held in Belgium in 2021). We have contributed to CEVI publications published by Springer. We currently designing the 8th book on energy research titled as “Applied Operations Research and Financial Modelling in Energy (AORFME)”. Our center is also in active partnership with Bilkent Energy Policy Research Center, Ankara, Turkey.

As actively involved researchers on energy issues, we currently pursue and seek for collaboration in:
• organizing conferences, seminars and workshops on energy sector and participation in our current organizations,
• conducting research on the energy markets, economy and financing of the energy sector and making research on company needs in the energy sector,
• conducting research on operation and financing of the renewable energy projects for contributing to the development of new projects,
• conducting research on using petroleum, coal, natural gas, wood and the other traditional energy resources to promote efficient and effective use of those resources.
